Margaret T. Loomis, 88, Northup, passed away Wednesday, September 28 at home. She was born March 9, 1923, in NantyGlo, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Susan and Joseph Sekerak. Margaret formerly worked at Baldwin-Wallace College. She was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herbert Loomis (September 29, 2009), whom she married on June 9, 1945; brothers, Joseph, Michael, Charles and John Sekerak; and sisters, Susan Jerdonek, Helen Mastic, Betty Sowa and Mary Ann Hollo. Surviving are daughter, Judy (Lance E.) Clifford of Northup; son, Timothy (Sandi) Loomis of Mayfield Heights, Ohio; and grandchildren, Heather Clifford (Josh) Skaggs of Gallipolis; Alan Clifford of Washington, D.C.; Heidi (Jason) Turcotte and Katie Loomis of Atlanta, Georgia; Emily (Seth) Ellis of Blacksburg, Virginia; and Erik (Jennifer) Loomis of Mayfield, Ohio. Great grandchildren include Jack, Olivia and Kaela Turcotte, Sally and Harris Ellis, Evan Skaggs, and Collin Loomis. Friends and family will be received at the Willis Funeral Home, Gallipolis, on Sunday, October 2 from 3 to 5 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the St. Louis Catholic Church on Monday, October 3 at 10 a.m. with Monsignor William Myers officiating. Interment in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Margarets memory to Holzer Hospice, 100 Jackson Pike, Gallipolis, OH 45631.
