Margaret A. Puckett, 93, of Crown City passed away June 5, 2010 at the home of her daughter. She was born July 28, 1916 in Gallia County, daughter of the late Elsworth Swain and Katie Fisher Swain. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mercerville Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter Peggy Donald Barlow of Patriot, a brother Charles Swain of Columbus, two sisters-in-law, Judy Berkley Saunders and Thelma Puckett, two brothers-in-law, Leslie Small and Jack Carter and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charlwood Puckett, son-in-law Terry Tagg, three brothers Earnest, Stanley and Cleates Swain, five sisters Ruby Sebrell, Lucy Start, Rickley Vance, Mildred Small and Gladys Carter. Services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Mercerville Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend Berkley Saunders and Pastor Ray Witmer III officiating, Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery.
