Marie Bartram Hobbs

Marie Bartram Hobbs, 87, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2007 at the Deaconess Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born of October 12, 1919 in Mingo, County, WV to the late Benard and Georgia Thompson Hobbs. Marie was a social worker and was a graduate of Marshall University and attended one year of graduate school at Florida State. She attended Northup Baptist Church and was a member of the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church in Huntington, WV. She was married to Gilbert William Hobbs and he preceded her in death in 1989. Also preceding in death were her parents, two brothers, Cullie Bartram and Walter Bartram, two sisters, Pansy Emmons and Gypsie Chapman. She is survived by one daughter Brenda Hanson of Gallipolis, three grandchildren Chris Hanson of Cincinnati, Lara Hanson of Gallipolis, and Tera Stewart of Gallipolis, three great grandchildren Madison Stewart, Gavin Stewart both of Gallipolis, and Isabella Hanson of Cincinnati; one brother Dr. Chester Eva Bartram of Massillon, Ohio. Services will be 2 PM Friday, June 1, 2007 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Victory Cemetery.
