Marion Eileen Murphy

February 20, 1937 — April 21, 2013

Marion Eileen Murphy, 76, of Gallipolis, went to be with the Lord after suffering many years of ill health on Sunday, April 21st, 2013 with her loving family at her side. Marion was born on February 20, 1937 in Ogden, Utah to William Clyde Davis and Ruby Reno Davis. Marion worked several different jobs, Robbins - Myers – 12 ½ years, Jones Boy’s – 12 years, then went on to sell Home Interiors for another 12 years, which she enjoyed very much. She loved to travel back and forth to Utah for fun visits with siblings. Her hobbies were gardening and ceramics. She was a member of Elizabeth Chapel Church. Marion is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Randy) Carnes, Robin Murphy, Denise Holley and Cathy Murphy, all of Gallipolis; eleven grandchildren, Amy Luxford of Hamilton, Ohio, Jessica Evans of Gallipolis, Ginger Brown of Enterprise, Alabama, Jennifer Douglas of Cheshire, Danielle Price of Rio Grande, Timothy Murphy Jr. of Patriot, Benjimin Murphy of Gallipolis, Cassandra Holley and Christopher Holley, both of Crown City, Trevor Calhoun and Lura Calhoun, both of Gallipolis; 13 Great Grandchildren; two sisters, Diane Brennan of Harrisville, Utah and Sharyl Sakashita of Riverdale, Utah; one brother, Chris Davis of Roy, Utah. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton L. Murphy on December 1, 2012; two sons, Clinton L. Murphy Jr. and Timothy Scott Murphy, Sr.; three brothers, Donald, Harold and Arnold Davis; two sisters, Jolene Wolford and Delores Elliot; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Murphy Burger. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Carnes and Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be T.J. Murphy, Ben Murphy, Taylor Luxford, Dennis Brown, Larry Evans and Aaron Price. Marion was a beloved wife and mother, her big smile will be missed!
