Marjorie Ellen French

Marjorie Ellen French, 85, a longtime resident of the Bulaville and Addison Communities, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2007 at the Holzer Medical Center. She was born April 24, 1922 in Cheshire Township, to the late Deffie B. and Lenora James Swisher. She was retired from the Gallipolis State Institute G.S.I., a member of the Bulaville Christian Church, and the former owner operator of French’s Market in Addison with her husband. Marjorie was a graduate of the Cheshire High School. Marjorie was married to James Albert Ab French, and he preceded her in death in 1978. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Harold, Kenneth, Marvin, and Theron Swisher; one sister Ethelyn Coughenour, a great granddaughter Jenna Sue Hutchinson. She is survived by one daughter Karen Clarence Tucker of Gallipolis, two sons James Sandra French of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Marshall Virginia French of Centerville, Ohio; Grandchildren Melissa Brett Hutchinson and Michael Kristen Tucker of Gallipolis, Lance Deborah French of Lebanon, Ohio, John Jill French of Westerville, Ohio, and Marsha Ellen French of Athens, Georgia; 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 A.M. on Monday, November 26, 2007 at the Bulaville Christian Church with Pastors Alfred Holley and Harold Tracewell officiating. Burial will follow in Campaign Cemetery, Addison Township. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, November 25, 2007 at Willis Funeral Home from 5-8 P.M. Pallbearers will be Lance French, John French, Michael Tucker, Brett Hutchinson, Walley Swisher, and James Rodenmyer. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Bulaville Christian Church.
