Marjorie E. Shaver

Marjorie E. Shaver, 69, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2008 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. She was born December 2, 1939 in Gallia County, daughter of the late Owen David Sr. and Flora E. Saunders Scarberry. Marjorie was a homemaker. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were two grandsons, Jonathan B. Pennington and James A. Pennington, a great grandson, Collin Pennington, three brothers, Paul Sheline, Owen Scarberry, Jr., Alfred Scarberry and two sisters, Madge Brown and Kathryn Scarberry. She is survived by six children, Mary L. Troy McDaniel, Connie Lambert, Dora Tim Lewis Baird, Bub Beth Shaver, Jim Shaver, Joyce Michael Workman, all of Gallipolis; sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; a special friend, James G. Shaver Sr.; one sister, Ella Cox of Gallipolis and a special niece, JoAnn Scarberry of Gallipolis. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2008 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley and Edward Buffington officiating. Burial will follow in Rife Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, December 19, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Randy Lambert, B.J. Lambert, Michael Workman, Troy McDaniel, Tim Lewis, Bill Cox and Don Cox.
