Mark W. Riffle, 57, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 13, 2021 while working on the river. Mark was born on August 11, 1963 in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of Joan Swisher and the late Robert Swisher. Mark was Senior Mate for the Ingram Barge Line for thirty plus years. He attended the First Church of God and was a member of the Morning Dawn Masonic Lodge #7. Mark enjoyed his granddaughter, NASCAR, hunting, and fishing. Mark was married to Ellen Meadows Riffle; and she survives him along with their children, Cody (Rhiannon) Riffle of Gallipolis and Cari (Alex) Schuler of Gallipolis; granddaughter, Clair Elizabeth Riffle; his mother, Joan Swisher of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; two brothers, Alan and Tony Riffle both of Point Pleasant; step sister, Bobbie Ann Roush of Letart, West Virginia; mother-in-law, Ann Meadows; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tim and Jennifer Meadows; nieces, Olivia Meadows and Marley Riffle; and nephews, Trenton Meadows, Derek Riffle, T.J. Riffle, and A.J. Riffle. In addition to his father, Robert Swisher, Mark was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Doug Meadows. The funeral service for Mark will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Voss officiating. His burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, February 19, 2021 at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. There will be a Masonic Service at the funeral home on Friday at 7 :00 p.m. by Morning Dawn Lodge #7. Pallbearers will be Cody Riffle, Alex Schuler, Thomas McGraw, Trent Meadows, Tony Riffle, Alan Riffle, and Tim Meadows.
