Marshall King

Marshall King, 63, of Gallipolis, went to be with the Lord in Heaven on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Wexner OSU Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. He was born August 23, 1949 in Mercerville, Ohio, son of the late William M. “Pete” and Delma Wallace King. Marshall was married to Mary Lou Rice and she survives him. Marshall was a 1967 Hannan Trace High School graduate. He was a retired concrete truck driver with Jenkins/Arrow Concrete. Marshall was a member of the Rio Grande Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing and camping and also enjoyed spending time with his family and his church family. Surviving are his wife, Mary Lou King of Gallipolis; a daughter, Angela (Scott) Wiley of Pleasant City, Ohio; a son, M. Bryan King of Gallipolis; four grandchildren, Brianna Wiley, Brooklyn Wiley, Ethan Wiley and Mackenzie Wiley; two sisters-in-law, Opal Barcus of Crown City and Sue Rice of Racine; two aunts, Thelma Puckett of Mercerville and Vivian Moore of Gallipolis; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Marshall was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Delma King, his stepmother, Louise Barcus King, and two brothers, Donald King and Charles Lee Barcus. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Willis Funeral Home with Minister Tim Gainer officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, May 31, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. or from 12-1 p.m. on Saturday prior to the funeral.
