Marvin G. Gindlesberger, 83, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2010 at his residence. He was born on December 28, 1926 in Geistown, PA, son of the late Cloyd and Mabel Rager Gindlesberger. He married Mildred 'Millie' Miller Gindlesberger on April 3, 1948 and she preceded him in death on May 22, 2005. Marvin was a WWII Army veteran. He retired from Burnett's Roofing and Heating, was a member of Cheshire Baptist Church and Morning Dawn Masonic Lodge #7. Marvin enjoyed camping, liked to play dominoes, and enjoyed senior citizen lunches at the University of Rio Grande. Surviving are one son, C.W. 'Bill' Gindlesberger of Gallipolis; three daughters, Kathryn A. Gindlesberger and Jeannie Jaye Myers, both of Gallipolis, Kandy Inez Stoffer of Columbus; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Koshute of Johnstown, PA and Shirley Bob Jones of Blairsville, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mildred 'Millie' Gindlesberger and a sister, Waunita Patz. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Cheshire Baptist Church with Pastors Steve Little and John Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Friends may call at the Willis Funeral Home on Thursday, April 8, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. There will be full military services at the graveside by volunteers of area veteran's lodges. Pallbearers will be Justin Myers, Jarod Myers, Jason Jenkins, Matthew Jenkins, Eric Gindlesberger, and Brycen Hatfield.
