Mary Mahan, 84, of Gallipolis, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at the Holzer Senior Care Center. She was born March 10, 1924 in Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Steve and Hazel Womeldorff Burlile. Mary was married to Frank N. Mahan and he preceded her in death on May 15, 2007. She was a homemaker, member of Calvary Baptist Church and a member of Eastern Star in Vinton. Surviving are her daughter, Judy Beckley of Gallipolis; three sons, Steve Donna Mahan of Alexandria, VA, Jerry Mahan and Scott Becky Mahan, both of Gallipolis; three granddaughters, Megan Mahan, Heather Mahan and Sara Beckley; a sister-in-law, Wanda Burlile of Gallipolis; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends at Gallia Manor. In addition to her parents and husband, Frank Mahan, she was preceded in death by her brother John Burlile. Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, October 4, 2008 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Junior Preston officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Rio Grande. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the funeral. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
