Mary Jo Ours

Mary Jo Ours, 90, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Holzer Senior Care.

Born on June 22, 1932 in Gallia County, Ohio, Mary Jo was the daughter of the late Dowie and Bonnie Glover Williams. Mary Jo married Marvin “Biggen” Ours, Sr., who preceded her in death on November 19, 1993. She retired as a TPW from Gallipolis Developmental Center after 26 years.

Mary Jo is survived by her son, Marvin E. (Jeanne M.) Ours, Jr. of Gallipolis; daughter, Jennifer (Jim) Osborne of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Brian (Shari) Ours of Seattle, Washington, Michael (Jackie) Ours of Gallipolis, Tige Osborne of Chicago, Illinois, and Tia (Jason) Vasquez of Cleveland, Ohio; twelve great grandchildren; and two sisters, Nancy Marshall of Addison, Ohio and Helen Rollins of Columbus, Ohio.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Mary Jo was preceded in death by a great grandson, Jacob Ours; brother, James Thomas Williams; and sister, June Brumfield.

At Mary Jo’s request, no public services will be held. Her burial will be at the convenience of the family in Providence Cemetery. Willis Funeral Home is assisting the family.
