Mary Emma Waugh

Mary Emma Waugh, 96, of Crown City, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Holzer Senior Care. Born on September 3, 1926 in Cabell County, West Virginia, Mary Emma was the daughter of the late Okey and Anna Saul Bailey. On October 5, 1946, Mary Emma married Merrill S. Waugh in Catlettsburg, Kentucky; he preceded her in death on April 4, 2011. Mary Emma was a school bus driver for Gallia County Local Schools. Mary Emma is survived by her children, Judy (Cliff) Wolfe of Titusville, Florida, Charles Waugh, Richard (Sue) Waugh, and James (Rose) Waugh all of Crown City, and Scott (Judy) Bailey of Gallipolis, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Mark Chevalier, Nathan Waugh, Mike Waugh, Rachael Chambers, Tiffany Waugh, Jay Waugh, Alan Bailey, and Phil Bailey; twelve great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband Merrill, Mary Emma was preceded in death by her siblings, Mildred Stiff, Frances Moody, Margaret Bailey, Bob Bailey, and Charles Bailey. A Graveside Service will be held for Mary Emma at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023 in Mt. Zion Cemetery with Pastor Todd Bowers officiating.
