Matthew A. Blair

Matthew A. Blair, 39, of Pomeroy, Ohio, formerly of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 in Huntington, West Virginia.  Matt was born on April 8, 1986 in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of Linda Lewis DeVault and Mark D. Blair.

Matt was employed by Hopewell as a residential specialist.  He was a 2004 graduate of Gallia Academy High School and a 2018 graduate of the University of Rio Grande, graduating with honors and earning a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology.  Matt attended the John Marshall Luthier School in Snellville, Georgia and had worked at PRS Guitars in Stevensville, Maryland.

Matt is survived by his wife, Miranda Manley-Blair of Pomeroy, Ohio and son, Dimitri Manley of Pomeroy; his mother, Linda (Keith) DeVault of Bidwell, Ohio and his father, Mark D. (Lynn) Blair of Gallipolis, Ohio; one brother, Doug Blair of Ashton, West Virginia and his daughter, Zoiee Blair; maternal grandmother, Wilma Lewis of Jackson, Ohio; and several extended family members.

The funeral service for Matt will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Bowers officiating.  His burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery.  Friends and family may call on Monday, April 28, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
