Matthew K. O'Dell

Matthew K. ODell, 43, of Bidwell, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the OSU Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. He was born January 11, 1968 in Gallipolis, son of James and Pat Bush ODell, who survive him. Matthew married Kimberly A. Morgan on November 14, 1987 in Gallipolis. He has two associates degrees from Southeastern Business College and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and K of P Lodge #55, Gallipolis, Ohio.He was employed by Holzer Medical Center.He enjoyed fishing, talking on the CB radio where his handle was Grandpa, and playing Xbox with his sons. Surviving are his wife, Kim ODell of Bidwell; two sons, Sean and Jimmy ODell of Bidwell; his parents, Jim and Pat ODell of Gallipolis; his brother Jeff ODell of Gallipolis; his sister Robin (Mike) Hutchinson of Newark; a nephew Christopher Hutchinson; his grandmother Hazel Bush of Gallipolis; and several in-laws. Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Merrill O. and Vera B. ODell and Orville Lee Bush. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the Chapel of Grace United Methodist Church with Bob Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery.
