Michael D. Ferrell

Michael D. Ferrell, 28, of Marion, Ohio, formerly of Gallipolis, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at his residence. He was born October 17, 1984, in Houston, Texas, son of David Lee Ferrell of Columbus, Ohio and Ruth McGrew Law, of Marion, Ohio, who survive him. Michael was a 2003 graduate of Gallia Academy High School. In addition to his parents, he was survived by a sister, Kathy Lee (Kenneth Ray) McCurdy, Jr. of Marion; two brothers, Kenneth Ray (Charlene) Ferrell and Scott Allen Ferrell, both of Portsmouth; a grandmother, Patricia Ann McGrew of Houston, Texas; a step grandmother, Nellie Ferrell of Gallipolis; four nieces, Brianna Annkay Ferrell, Amber Railyn Ferrell, Halley Marie Ferrell, Heather Nicole Ferrell; four nephews, Kody Ashton Ferrell, Devin Patrick Ferrell, Zackary Ray McCurdy, Austin Kurtis McCurdy; an aunt, Beverly Ann (Kenneth) Canterbury of McDermott; and numerous cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Barbara and Fred Ferrell and Squire Alfred McGrew. Services will be 5:00 p.m., Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Willis Funeral Home with Lay Minister James Coyle officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-5 p.m. prior to the service.
