Mildred P. Ward

Mildred P. Ward, 82, of Cheshire, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at her residence.She was born January 22, 1928 in Pike County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Eli and Lucille Prater. Mildred was married to James Orion Ward and he preceded her in death. She attended Old Kyger Freewill Baptist Church when she was able. Surviving are her son, Geoffrey Jim (Marsha) Ward of Cheshire; a grandson, Tyler (Clarissa) Ward of Cheshire; and several brothers and sisters.In addition to her parents and husband, James Orion Ward, she was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Ward. Services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the Willis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Poplar Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service.
