Nancy Ann Duty, 73, of Patriot, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Kings Daughter Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. She was a homemaker, a member of the Rio Grande Church of Christ and enjoyed sowing and crocheting. She was born on July 25, 1936 in Delbarton, West Virginia to the late John L. Hall and Laura Mayhorn Hall. Nancy is survived by her husband of nearly fifty-five years, Arthur I. Duty of Patriot, six children George L. Duty, of Patriot, Arthur D.'Doug'LaNora Duty of Gallipolis, Kathy Daniel J. Preston of Patriot, Gerry Gilman of Williamson, West Virginia, Nola 'Snookie' Gordon Lambert of Hampton, Virginia, and Lora M. Duty of Patriot, 14 grandchildren , 16 great grandchildren, and one sister Geraldine Murphy of Charlottesville, Virginia. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Arthur Douglas Duty, Jr., two great grandchildren, her parents, by brothers George Hall, Douglas Hall, Kellis Hall, William Henry Hall, Janes Danny Duty, by sisters, Irene Caudill, Novella Carey, Kathern Duty, Pauline Spaulding, Gustavia Hall and by two siblings in infancy. Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Willis Funeral Home with preachers Jason Ridgeway and Van Sprague officiating. Burial will follow in the Duty Family Cemetery on Houck Road. Friends may call on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 from 6-8 pm at Willis Funeral Home.
