Nancy Kay Triplett, 78, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at her residence. Kay was born on September 23, 1943 in Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Ralston Jack Johnson and Iva Swain Johnson. She was a retired school bus driver for Gallia County Local Schools and a graduate of Hannan Trace High School. Kay enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Kay was married to George L. Triplett; and he preceded her in death on January 31, 2011. In addition to her husband and parents, Kay was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa K. Triplett in 2013; an infant daughter, Teresa Lynn Triplett; two brothers, James Johnson and Virgil Johnson; and a sister, Mabel Davis. Kay is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Doug) Adkins of Bidwell and Kim (Brian) Nolan of Cheshire; one son, Justin (Tessie) Triplett of Burns, Wyoming; grandchildren, Jaylan (Tori) Nolan, Jared (Anne) Nolan, Bryce Nolan, and Brendon Triplett; great grandchildren, Khaleesi Gardner, Knox Nolan, Kashton Nolan, and Layne MaryKay Nolan who is expected to be born in October 2022; one brother, Rick (Patrice) Johnson of Gallipolis; brothers-in-law, Dennis (Sharon) Triplett of Bloomington, Georgia and Dale Fife of Gallipolis; sisters-in-law, Sylvia June Triplett of Crown City, Ohio and Karen Jarrell of Henderson, West Virginia; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Patty Mason, Jenny Myers, and Monty Swain. Pallbearers will be Jaylan Nolan, Jared Nolan, Bryce Nolan, Brendon Triplett, Bill Triplett, Erik Johnson, Joey Cremeans, and Larry Jarrell. The funeral service for Kay will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Carnes officiating. Her burial will follow in Providence Cemetery.
