Olive Louise Dennis, 92, of Gallipolis, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Holzer Assisted Living. She was born December 14, 1918 in Muskingum County, Ohio, daughter of the late Fred and Forrest Pryor Williams. Louise was married to Wilbur A. Dennis and he preceded her in death on July 6, 2004. She graduated from Meredith Business College in Zanesville, Ohio. She worked prior to her marriage at the Department of Industrial Relations for the State of Ohio. Louise was a member of Faith Baptist Church, a Cub Scout Den Mother, a past president of the Gallia County Home Council, deaconess at First Baptist and Faith Baptist Churches, a member of Joy Fellowship and Gallia County Senior Citizens. Surviving are a son, Kevin (Sandy) Dennis of Gallipolis; two daughters, Kathy E. (Ron) Keenan of Gallipolis and Karen L. (Rod) Stapleton of Mt. Carmel, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Eric (Tarina) Keenan, John (Lynette) Keenan, Jerod (Anne) Stapleton, Kristin (Jay) Stiltner, Wendy (Shawn) McNeal, Batina (Rich) Corvin, and Amber Dennis; twelve great grandchildren, David, Drew, Madelyn, and Nicole Keenan, Trevor, Candace, and Tabby McNeal, Tori, Courtney, and Katie Belle Corvin, Jalyn Rice, and Zoe Stapleton, and another great grandchild, Jonah Stiltner, expected soon; two sisters, Verna Hildebrand of Zanesville, Ohio and Shirley Mitchell of Somerset, Ohio;two sisters-in-law, Barbara Williams of Zanesville, Ohio and Marge Dennis of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wilbur Dennis, two brothers, Wayne and Dale Williams, and two sisters, Clara Dennis and Winifred Gaunder. Services will be 1:30 p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Lusher officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, November 12, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Louises memory to Faith Baptist Church, First Baptist Church or Vinton Baptist Church.
