Owen Justin Ross, Sr. “OJ”, 70, of Crown City, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born July 17, 1943 in Lawrence County, Ohio, son of the late William and Janie Massie Ross. He was a self employed contractor for many years. He attended Waterloo Schools. He was a member of the National Coon Hunters Association. He enjoyed playing softball, playing the guitar, listening to George Jones and watching the Kentucky Wildcats. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Janie Ross, seven brothers Earl Ross, Willie Ross, Fred Ross, Charles Ross, Harold Ross, Gerald Ross, and Junior Ross, five sisters, Ann Sturgil, Mary Blevins, Alice Higgins, Hazel Hill and Rose Ross, a daughter, Mary Ann Ross and wife, Elizabeth Ross. Survivors include three daughters, Owenna Ross of California, Tammy (Scott) Reinbold of Three Rivers, Michigan, Beverly Myszkowski of Panama City, Florida; two sons, Owen Ross Jr. (Vicky Perry) of Sturgis, Michigan and Paul Ross (Jennifer Warren and kids, Taylor, Rylan, Kalab and Jaylan Warren) of Gallipolis; three stepsons, David (Tina) Bustetter and Joseph Bustetter, both of Ironton and Dwight Woodyard of Gallipolis; a stepdaughter, Jackie Hupfer of Proctorville; 14 grandchildren, Jessica Valencourt, Andrea Ross, Brittany Kinsey, Justin Ross, Kyle Kinsey, Janston Perry, Jacob Ross, Maria Wilson, Erika Bauer, Alli Myszkowski, Chelsea Cochran, Michal Cochran, Davey Woodyard, Beth Fuller; four great grandchildren, Jaylan McGee, Ava Ross, Gabbriela Doster, and William Bauer; caregiver, Yolanda Beleigh; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 6-8 p.m.
