Patricia "Pat" Staley

Patricia “Pat” Staley, 85, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on the morning of Monday, September 6, 2021. She was born on May 23, 1936 in Holden, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Andrew Lycans, Sr. and Ettie (Newsome) Lycans. In addition to her parents, five brothers, and one sister, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, whom she married on December 28, 1958 and their son, Darrell, who died at age 57. Pat retired from Robbins and Myers (now Reliance), Gallipolis, Ohio, after twenty-five years’ employment. She was an active member of Good News Baptist Church for twenty-three years. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Blake (Brent); daughter-in-law, Mandy Staley; five grandchildren, Jason Humphreys (Laura), Stacy Miles, Kevin Blake (Cassie), Craig Blake (Brandi), and Josh Staley (Samantha); six great grandchildren, Dylan Humphreys, Libby North, Ridge Miles, Kolby and Kolson Blake, and Noah Blake; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a private service for family at Willis Funeral Home in Gallipolis with Pastor Joseph Godwin officiating. Pat will be laid to rest next to her husband, Ed, at Mound Hill Cemetery, Gallipolis, Ohio. Pallbearers will be Jason Humphreys, Dylan Humphreys, Josh Staley, Kevin Blake, Craig Blake, and Brent Thompson. Honorary pallbearer will be Carl Thompson.
