Pauline G. Unroe

Pauline G. Unroe, 86, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away at the home of her daughter on Friday, March 8, 2024.

Born on June 16, 1937 in Branchland, West Virginia, Pauline was the daughter of Shellio and Narie Queen Slone. Pauline was a member of Dickey Chapel Church since the age of 12. Pauline had worked as a cook for the Bob Evans Drive Inn, Housekeeping for Holzer Medical Center, and at the Gallipolis Developmental Center.

On July 24, 1954, Pauline was united in marriage with Rex H. Unroe by the Rev. Earl Cremeans. Rex preceded Pauline in death on February 17, 2024. Pauline is survived by the four daughters with whom they were blessed, Roberta Fellure of Gallipolis, Connie (Jim) Swindler of Crown City, Janet (Ky) Rice of Gallipolis, and JoAnn (Bob) Browning of Red House, West Virginia. Also surviving Pauline are grandchildren, Tracy DeVault (Rob Mannon), Caty Fellure, Keaton (Gretchen) Rice, Eric (Ryann) Swindler, Judd (Melissa) Swindler, Ashley Unroe, and B.J. (Savanna) Browning; great grandchildren, Hannah Young, Bryson DeVault, Kayle Mannon, Braylee, Madison, and Mason Fellure, Tristin, Brantley, and Callen Swindler, Jalyn, Kyrie, and Kelly Rice, Paisley and Rylee Browning, and Wyatt and Jax Stover; brothers, Jack Slone, Ronnie Slone, and Ray (Shelia) Slone; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Shellio and Narie Slone and her husband, Rex H. Unroe, Pauline was preceded in death by her son-in-law, James Fellure; grandson, Trent Fellure; two great grandchildren, Payton Olivia Fellure and Peyton Isaac Browning; brothers, Shelly Dale Slone, William “Bill” Slone, Richard Slone, Jim Slone, and Herbert Slone; and sister, Ella Mae Cox.

The funeral service for Pauline will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor J.R. Vance and Pastor Michael Parcell officiating. Her burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, March 11, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Willis Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Eric Swindler, Judd Swindler, Tristen Swindler, Rob Mannon, Michael Parcell, and Keaton Rice; honorary pallbearers will be her great grandsons.
