Pearl E. Leifheit

Pearl E. Leifheit, 88, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Four Winds Community Center in Jackson, Ohio.  Pearl was born on October 5, 1933 in Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late LeRoy and Ora E. (Thomason) Elliott.  Pearl graduated from nursing school in Cincinnati and worked 30 years as the Plant Nurse for Kaiser Aluminum.  Pearl retired from the Gallipolis Developmental Center as a Registered Nurse.

Pearl was married to Russell H. Leifheit on June 26, 1955; and he preceded her in death on September 19, 2000.  She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie J. Leifheit (Jennifer Klopp) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; one sister, Joyce (Greg Mantor) Browning of Westerville, Ohio; two brothers, James D. (Sharon) Elliott of Dover, Ohio and Carroll Elliott of  New Philadelphia, Ohio; sister-in-law, Eleanor Elliott of Gallipolis, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Kim Dawkins of Jackson, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband, Pearl was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Leifheit in 2010; brothers, Leroy Elliott, Charles Elliott, and Emmett "Red" Elliott; and sisters, Vivian Benson and Florence Clay.

A graveside service for Pearl will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Rife Cemetery with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating.  Willis Funeral Home is in care of her arrangements.
