Penny J. Moore

Penny J. Moore, 72, of Bidwell, Ohio passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Holzer Medical Center. Penny was born in Gallia County, Ohio on April 27, 1951, daughter of the late Raymond E. and Edna M. (Clary) Cochran.  Penny was a home care worker and bartender.  She enjoyed drinking her coffee and having conversation with her family and friends.  She enjoyed listening to music, crocheting, watching TV, while chewing her tobacco.

She was married to Opie Eugene Moore, Jr., and he preceded her in death in 1993.  Penny was also preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Mae Cochran; four brothers, Charles Eugene Cochran, Raymond Franklin Cochran, Ronald Francis Cochran, and Jerry Joe Cochran; and her friends, Cheryl Jean Cochran and Ellis Carr Barrett.  Penny is survived by one daughter, Susan Leonard of Bidwell; two granddaughters, Danielle Leonard and Erica Leonard both of Bidwell; one sister, Pamela (Ron) Saunders of Waterloo, Ohio; two brothers, Marvin (Wanda) Cochran and Earl Cochran both of Columbus, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

In honoring Penny's wishes, no public services are being planned.
