Phil Steven Unroe, 57, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at his residence. He was born September 21, 1955 in Gallia County, Ohio, son of the late Lawrence Vilas and Lillian Irene Day Unroe, Sr. Phil was a graduate of Hannan Trace High School and a former foreman for telephone line construction. Surviving are a daughter, Amy (Scott) Wroblewski of Gallipolis; four sons, Steven (Amber) Unroe, Mitch (Misty) Unroe, Brandon Unroe, and Brett (Jessica) Unroe, all of Gallipolis; thirteen grandchildren; seven sisters, Janet Williams of Gallipolis, Charlotte (Richard) Shaffer and Fern (Nelson) Davis, both of Crown City, Vickie (Joe) Freeman of Gallipolis, Debbie (Randy) Halley of Crown City, Pam (Kenny) Williams and Anita (Steve) Calvert, both of Gallipolis; six brothers, Bobby (Faye) Unroe, Bill (Barbara) Unroe, both of Gallipolis, Lawrence Jr. (Carolyn) Unroe, Charles Unroe and Wendel Unroe, all of Crown City, Greg Unroe of Gallipolis; several nieces and nephews; and a close friend, Frances Swisher of Gallipolis . In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Unroe. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Swan Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the Willis Funeral Home from 10 – 10:30 a.m. prior to the graveside service.
