Phyllis Jean "Jeannie" Beaver

Phyllis Jean “Jeannie” Beaver, 72, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at her residence.

Born on July 2, 1951 in Boone County, West Virginia, Jeannie was the daughter of the late William Jackson Ferguson and Wanda Mae Short Ferguson.  Jeannie was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School Class of 1969; she later earned an Associate Degree from Gallipolis Business College.  Jeannie was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW #4464 and American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Past President; she loved veterans.  She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.

Jeannie is survived by her children, Shawn (Crystal) Beaver of Bidwell, Ohio, Teresa Haner of Gallipolis, and Mary (Chuck) Casey of Vinton, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Christina Beaver of Gallipolis; fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Jeannie was preceded in death by her husband, Randolph North; sons, Chris Beaver in 2018 and Clark Beaver; and brothers, Gary Ferguson, Russell Ferguson, and Richard Ferguson.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. February 24, 2024 at the American Legion; Willis Funeral Home is assisting the family.
