Ray Baker

Ray Baker, 83, of Patriot, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the Holzer Medical Center. He was born February 2, 1926 in Gallia County, Ohio, son of the late Ernest L. and Gracie Myers Baker. Ray was married to Audrey Monroe Baker and she preceded him in death in 1972. He was a carpenter. Surviving are a daughter, Carolyn Jack Berry of Belpre, Ohio; a son, William Debbie Baker of Gallipolis; four grandchildren, Audrey Larry Jr. Burris, Jennifer Muncy fianc??? ??? Chad Long, Jackie Shawn Corn, and Carrie Berry; five great grandchildren, Trey Farley, Kaylei Muncy, Cameron Muncy, Braden Corn, and Tanner Corn; step grandchildren, Miranda Burris and Gage Burris; a sister, Dortha Black of Chesapeake; two brothers, Clay Ann Baker and Donavan Mary Baker, all of Patriot. In addition to his parents and his wife, Audrey, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Freddie Baker, Rev. Ernest Baker and Gene Baker. Services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Dillon officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens.
