Rev. Robert D. Grubb, 83, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at his residence. Bob was born on January 26, 1939 in Sophia, West Virginia, son of the late Carrie Mae Andrews Belcher and Merlin R. Belcher. Bob was retired from Holzer Medical Center as an Electronics Technician and was a registered piano technician for many years. Bob was known as the piano doctor. Bob was a member of the Grubb Family Singers and a member of the Gallipolis Christian Church.
Bob was married to Louwanna Carr Grubb on September 5, 1959; and she survives him. He is also survived by one daughter, Sherry T. (Scott) Fraser of Gallipolis, Ohio; two sons, Robert John (Debi) Grubb of Gallipolis and Charles D. (Vicki) Grubb of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; daughter-in-law, Patricia Grubb of Beaumont, Mississippi; ten grandchildren, John Grubb II, Chris Grubb, David Grubb, April Anderson (Derrick), Eddie Grubb, Sarah Roush (Matthew), Rachael McCartney (Michael), Daniel Fraser (Becca), Hannah Grubb, and Bryce Grubb; and ten great grandchildren, Jai Grubb, Kaiser Anderson, Trevor Anderson, Benjamin Roush, Isaac Roush, Abigail Roush, Maverick McCartney, Scarlett McCartney, Lillie Fraser, and Lucas Fraser. Bob was preceded in death by a son, Ronald R. Grubb; one brother, Bobby Joe; and a sister, Edith Mae.
The funeral service for Bob will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Carnes officiating. His burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Fraser, John Grubb II, Chris Grubb, Bryce Grubb, Matthew Roush, and Michael McCartney.
