Richard E. Carter Ii

Richard E. Carter II, 69, of Gallipolis passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia.  He was born on March 15, 1954 in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of the late Richard E.  and Naida J. Spears Carter.  Rick was retired from AEP Philip Sporn Power Plant.  He had enjoyed hunting and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Rick was married to Janice "Jan" Johnson Carter on April 30, 1983; and she survives in Gallipolis, along with a daughter, Hallie R. Carter of Canal Winchester, Ohio; two grandchildren, Colby Ferguson and Chloe Carter; and one sister, Amy Carter of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Private family services will be held at Willis Funeral Home.
