Richard "Rick" S. "Scoob" Waugh

Rick "Scoob" Waugh, 66, of Patriot, Ohio passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his family.  Rick was born on November 11, 1956 in Gallia County, Ohio, son of the late Merrill and Mary Emma Bailey Waugh.

Rick was retired from CTS Construction and enjoyed hunting and gardening; he was a 1976 graduate of Hannan Trace High School.  He was married to Sue Woodyard Waugh on January 5, 1979; and she survives him along with their children- a daughter, Rachel (Charles) Chambers, Jr and a son, Jay (Brian) Waugh both of Patriot; two grandchildren, Chloe Chambers and Caleb Chambers; one sister, Judy (Cliff) Wolfe of Titusville, Florida; three brothers, Charles Waugh and James (Rose) Waugh both of Crown City and Scott (Judy) Bailey of Gallipolis; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members;  a host of friends; and his beloved Yorkie, Tucker.

A Graveside Service for Rick will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Swan Creek Cemetery with Pastor Todd Bowers officiating.
