Ricky Lee Kite

Ricky Lee Kite, 58, of Vinton, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Holzer Medical Center. He was born September 13, 1951 in Piqua, Ohio, son of the late Chester E. and Martha Carpenter Kite, who survives him. Rick was a 1969 graduate of Graham Local High School in St. Paris, Ohio and a plumber by trade. He loved fishing and Indian history. Surviving are his mother, Martha Carpenter Kite of Vinton; a son, Nicky Lee Reed; two sisters, Vicky Ed Salyers of Urbana and Mindy Kevin Pullins of Gallipolis; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Chester E. “Smokey” Kite Jr. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nursing staff on the second floor at Holzer Medical Center for the outstanding care given him. Services will be 1:30 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2010 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Marc Sarrett officiating. Burial will follow in Gallia Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, January 30, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Perry Vernon, Scott Vernon, Levi Pullins, Luke Pullins, David Carpenter and Preston Rice.
