Robert “Bob” L. Johnson, 76, of Crown City, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. He was born October 20, 1937 in Gallia County, Ohio, son of the late Charles R. and Freda Lambert Johnson. Bob was married to Beatrice Waugh Johnson and she survives him. He retired from Shamblin Stone in Charleston. Bob was a member of Kings Chapel Church. Surviving are his wife, Bea Johnson of Crown City; three daughters, Regina (Charlie) Cremeans of Hurricane, West Virginia, Beverly (Terry) Shaffer and Donna (Scott) Gibson, both of Crown City; a grandson raised in the home, Robert Casey Sommer of Gallipolis; seven grandchildren, Andrea Cremeans-Spencer, Matthew Cremeans, Joshua Cremeans, Bethani Shaffer, Robert Seth Shaffer, Wesley Gibson, and Kristin Lowe; five great grandchildren, Gabe Cremeans, Aiden Cremeans, Raylan Shaffer, Garrett Gibson, Gracelyn Lowe, Emma Ward, Charles Spencer III, Devan Spencer, Summer Likens-Cremeans ; one brother, Billie Johnson; and four sisters, Lula Mae Henry, Gloria Dean Evans, Inez Stocker, and Agnes Frazee. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann Johnson Sommer, a great granddaughter, Lavina Michelle Shaffer, a sister, Loretta Johnson Swain, and a brother and sister in infancy, Harlan “Buddy” Johnson and Janet Sue Johnson. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Garland Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery.
