Robert "Bob" France

Robert E. “Bob” France, 88, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the Holzer Senior Care. He was born on October 5, 1927 in Gallipolis, son of the late Albert Paul France and Iva Brothers France. Bob had been an x-ray technician for Holzer Clinic and retired as the manager of the Bob Evans Reduction Plant. Bob was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School, a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, and served in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II. Bob is survived by his wife of nearly 68 years, B. Donnie Postalwaite France whom he married on January 1, 1948. He is also survived by a daughter Roberta “Robin” (Dane) Sprouse of Chillicothe, a son Albert Eugene France of Bidwell, grandchildren Tina Sprouse (Eric) Browder, Nicole Adams, Mekenzie Loli, and Carly France, Sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Ada France, Patricia Saunders, and Tom and Ruth Comer all of Gallipolis, nieces and nephews Jeannie (Randy) Wilson, Jeff (Jana) France, JoEllen (Andy) Fisher, Allen (Jennifer) Saunders, Tim (Lisa) Saunders, Matt Comer and Tami Halley, cousins Idelle Gernavage, Arlene Houston, and Amy Carter. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a Brother, Paul Edward France, and brother-in-law Bill Saunders. In accordance with his wishes no services are to be held.
