Robert Wayne Price

Robert Wayne 'Rob' Price, of Gallipolis, was taken on Saturday, March 28, 2009 to be with the Lord at the age of 44. He was born August 5, 1964 and in the short time he was here with us, countless memories and friendships were forged that will never be forgotten or replaced. For those blessed enough to know him in life, a lasting impression of a brilliant, hard-working, honest father will forever remain. He was a good man certainly, and we can all find comfort in knowing that he is walking with Jesus as we are left to mourn his passing. Also a certainty we all may find comforting, is that if he could tell us a few words to carry in our hearts, he would say, 'Don't cry for me, I'm where I belong now and I'm fine.' None-the-less, we are all going to miss you until we meet you again. Rob was born in Columbus, son of Eddie T. and Ethel Carpenter Price, who survive him. He was a 1982 Southwestern High School graduate and worked as an equipment operator at the AEP Gavin Plant. He was the ultimate Ohio State fan and enjoyed computer games. Surviving are two sons, Aaron Danielle Price of Vinton and Jared T. Price of Gallipolis; one grandson, Matthew Price; his parents, Eddie T. and Ethel Price of Vinton; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Rob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Martha Eva Price, William Wallace Price, Floyd Carpenter and Lucille Carpenter. Services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Bynum officiating. Burial will follow in Gallia Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Aaron Price, Don Pearce, Seth Weaver, Kim Haney, Rex Roy, Shawn Riffle, and Mike Wheeler.
