Robert L. Taylor, 43, of Gallipolis, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at the Holzer Medical Center Emergency Room. He was born on May 14, 1963 in Gallipolis, son of the late Robert H. Taylor, who preceded him in death in February, 2005 and Carol Peterson Taylor, who survives him. He was married to Nicole Haag on January 31, 2003 in Gallipolis. Robert was a graduate of the Peace Officer Academy. He also served as a former Gallia County Sheriff’s Deputy for 15 years and was a commissioned policeman for the Village of Middleport. He was a member of the Gallipolis First Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are his wife, Nicole Taylor of Gallipolis; his children, Crystal David White of Sumpter, South Carolina, Zachary L. Taylor, Brittany Evans and Bethany Evans, all of Gallipolis; two grandchildren, Keira White and Justin White of Sumpter, South Carolina; his mother, Carol Taylor of Gallipolis; his paternal grandmother, Thelma Taylor of Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia; and special friend, Roger Arnold. Services will be 11 a.m., Monday, April 30, 2007 at the Gallipolis First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Bob Fulton and Pastor Eugene Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Garden, Point Pleasant, WV. Friends may call at Gallipolis First Church of the Nazarene on Sunday, April 29, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. Arrangements are by the Willis Funeral Home.
