Robin S. Shamblin, 56, of Gallipolis, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 11, 2013 at the Holzer Medical Center. She was born October 29, 1956 in Huntington, West Virginia, daughter of the late James Williams and Aurelia Bryan Williams, who survives her. She married George W. Shamblin, Jr. on June 30, 2006 and he survives her. Robin was a 1974 Southwestern High School graduate and attended First Church of God. She retired as a secretary for transportation of Gallia County Local Schools, where she had worked for 37 years. She loved her grandbabies and the youth at the church. Surviving are her husband, George W. Shamblin Jr. of Gallipolis; a daughter, Morgen (B. Taylor) Newill of Fishers, Indiana and a son, James P. (Ashley) Johnson of Gallipolis; two grandchildren, Maggie and Boston; two stepsons, Chris Shamblin of Mason, WV and Charlie Shamblin of Glenville, WV; one stepgrandson, Isaiah Shamblin; her mother, Aurelia Williams of Gallipolis; one brother, Charles (Chris) Williams of Gallipolis; two sisters, Janie (Clovis) Elkins of Patriot and Leona (Danny) Dean of Carroll, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Claire Newill, a sister, Rose Mary Williams, and a brother Michael J. Williams. Services will be 2:30 p.m., Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the First Church of God with Pastor Paul Voss officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Rio Grande, Ohio.
