Rocky Lane Rece

Rocky Lane Rece, 61, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021 at his residence. Born on September 13, 1959 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, Rocky was the son of the late James H. Rece and Colene Smith Rece, who survives him in Kendallville, Indiana. Rocky was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School Class of 1977 and an asbestos worker with Local 207 of New Haven, West Virginia. He enjoyed Harley motorcycles, NASCAR, and going to car races; Dale Earnhardt was his favorite. Rocky is survived by his mother, Colene Smith Rece of Kendallville, Indiana; brother, Doug Rece of Butler, Indiana; sister, Rachel Rece of Kendallville, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and Nicky and Shea Russell, who were close to his heart. In addition to his father, Rocky was preceded in death by a brother, Greg Rece in 2019. A Memorial Visitation will be held for Rocky from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Willis Funeral Home.
