Roger Lee Johnson

Roger Lee Johnson, Sr., 56, of Rio Grande, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Gallipolis on March 3, 1952, son of the late Russell Ira and Flossie E. White Johnson. Roger was a former construction worker and attended Centenary United Christian Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Johnson of Rio Grande; two brothers, Ronnie Norma Johnson and Richard Peggy Johnson, both of Gallipolis; two sisters, Nancy Taylor and Brenda EB Jones, both of Gallipolis; and his mother-in-law, Patricia Mullins of Gallipolis. Also survived by three grandchildren, which were his pride and joy, Erin Hope Johnson, Aubree Sheye Johnson, and Brett Nickolas Johnson and many friends and family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Roger Lee Johnson, a sister, Cathy Diane Johnson, a brother Russell Johnson and one brother-in-law, Jimmy Taylor. Services will be 1 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2008 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Truman Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Creek Cemetery. Friends may call from 12-1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jason Johnson, Jimmy Taylor, Russell Sargent, Michael Jay Mullins, Richard Allen Mullins, Michael Wayne Mullins, Michael Martin and Ricky Johnson.
