Romey F. Swanson, Jr.

Romey F. Swanson, Jr., 82, of Gallipolis, Ohio entered into the gates of Heaven on Monday, March 21, 2022 and was surrounded by his loved ones. Romey was a faithful Christian, beloved husband, loyal daddy, pawpaw, and great pawpaw. Romey was a Veteran of the US Air Force, the founder of Hands Extended, a published author, and a motivational speaker. Romey is survived by his loving and beautiful wife, Vickie; daughters and sons-in law, Angel Brant (Scott) of Bay City, TX, Annita Lanham (Bill) of Wheeling, WV, Amber Turner (Charlie) of Willis, TX, and Andi Dunn (Davis) of Abbeville, AL; bonus daughter, Melissa Huffman (Richard) of Gallipolis, OH; bonus son, Adam Allie (Karen) of Georgetown, KY; sisters, Creda, Joyce, and Helen; grandchildren, Romey Lynn, Trina, Diamond, Drew, Andrew, Chris, Kayla, Hannah, and Will; bonus grandkids, RJ, Caleb, Ashlee, Rhema, Daniel, Brandon, Ryan, Marissa, and Landon; and 29 great grandchildren and one more on the way. Romey entered Heaven’s gates being welcomed by his parents, Romey and Angie Swanson and his grandson, Wesley Scott Turner. Celebrating with him in Heaven is Ileta Swanson. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at Rodney Pike Church of God, 440 State Route 850, Bidwell, Ohio 45614 with Pastor Ron Bynum officiating.
