Ronald E. Knotts Jr.

Ronald E. Knotts Jr., 66, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013 at the James Cancer Center. He was born November 6, 1946 in Charleston, West Virginia, son of the late Ronald E. Knotts Sr. and Daisy E. Slayton Knotts, who survives him. Ronald was married to Lois Albright on July 17, 1987. He was employed at GKN for 40 years as a maintenance technician. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. Surviving are his wife, Lois Knotts of Gallipolis; a son Jeffrey Todd Knotts of Gallipolis; a stepdaughter Paula (Brett) Jones of Pt. Pleasant, WV; a stepson Chuck (Andrea) Spencer of Hurricane, WV; nine grandchildren, Brian, J.T. and Leah Knotts, Coalton Spencer, Charlie Spencer, Devon Spencer, Alan Jones, Kimberly Jones, Andrew Jones; his mother, Daisy E. Knotts of Gallipolis; two sisters, Kris Moore (Len Sutton) of Columbus and Donna Jean (John) Harless of Gallipolis; two brothers, Stephen Allen (Sheila) Knotts of Freemont, North Carolina and David Lee (Jodi) Knotts of Gallipolis; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son Brian Keith Knotts. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Willis Funeral Home with Will Luckeydoo and Pastor Harold Benson officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 6-8 p.m.
