Ronald H. Ronnie Myers, 77, of Crown City, was called home to sing in the heavenly choir on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at St. Marys Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. He was born April 27, 1934 in Gallia County, Ohio, son of the late Harry D. and Mary Beaver Myers. Ronnie retired from Lawrence County Soil and Water Conservation and had worked at Crown City Mining. He was a member of Elizabeth Chapel Church, Waterloo Masonic Lodge #532, Waterloo OES #447, UMWA, American Quarter Horse Association, and Operating Engineers Local 18. He sang in many quartets and loved golfing. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Kay Myers of Crown City; two sons, Jene (Sherry) Myers of Scottown and Jaye (Jeannie) Myers of Gallipolis; stepsons, Terry (Shelly) James and Kelly (Terri) James both of Crown City; five grandchildren, Josh (Robin) Myers, Jessica (Richard) Stephens, Justin (Laura) Myers, Jarod Myers, and Heidi (Yaz) Takagi; four great grandchildren, Jaxon Myers, Jayden Myers, Olivia Takagi, and Zach Takagi; three step grandchildren, Jesse James, Seth James and McKenzie James; one sister, Peggy Johnson of Crown City; one brother-in-law, Dick Cremeens of Crown City; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Frances Myers, two sisters, Darlene Cremeens and Linda Williams, a brother-in-law Max Johnson and a nephew, Larry Cremeens. Services will be 1:30 p.m., Sunday, August 7, 2011 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Carnes officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, August 6, 2011 from 5-9 p.m. A Masonic Service will be at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pallbearers will be Josh Myers, Justin Myers, Jarod Myers, Alan Lunsford, Terry Cremeens and Jeff Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ralph Crawford, Calvin Waugh, Rusty Williams, Jerry Myers and Leroy Wonn. .
