Ruth A. Johnson Willett

Ruth A. Johnson Willett, 84, of Gallipolis passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at her residence. Born on September 22, 1934 in Gallia County, Ohio, Ruth was the daughter of the late Jesse M. and Irene Lucille Queen White. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by two husbands, John Gilbert Johnson in 1965 and Clifford O. Willett in 2013; sons, Tony Johnson, Terry Johnson, and Bruce Johnson, Sr.; daughter, Vickie Long; granddaughter, Lori Smith; nine sisters; and two brothers. Ruth was a homemaker who enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Ruth is survived by her children, Diana (Paul) Swisher of Chillicothe, Ohio, Judy (Rhonda) Davis of Southside, West Virginia, and Johnny (Brenda) Johnson of Gallipolis; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Ruth will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Willis Funeral Home with Chaplain Fred Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery.
