Samuel E. "Sammy" Bennett

Samuel E. “Sammy” Bennett, 47, of Rio Grande, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013 at his residence. He was born June 9, 1966 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Samuel L. and Irene E. Patrick Bennett. He graduated from Gallia Academy High School with the class of 1984 and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Sammy worked in asbestos abatement and was in Local #207 out of New Haven, West Virginia. He enjoyed bowling. Surviving are his companion, Amy Chrisemer of Rio Grande; his daughter, Kayla Johnson of Rio Grande; a sister, Doris Rose of Gallipolis; a brother Freddie (Donna Denais) Bennett of Pt. Pleasant, WV; and nephews, Jacob and Cody Bennett of Pt. Pleasant, WV. A memorial service will be 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Willis Funeral Home.
