Sharon Angel

Sharon Angel, 57, of Ozark, Missouri, formerly of Gallia County, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022 in Springfield, Missouri. Born on February 8, 1965 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Sharon was the daughter of the late Lester and Margaret Hayes Holstein. Sharon married Carl Angel on October 5, 1991; and he survives her in Ozark, Missouri. In the fall of 1986, Sharon and Carl met at the University of Rio Grande in the Army ROTC program. Sharon graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a minor in economics. Upon graduation, Sharon was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant and went to Fort Bliss to train as a fire control officer for air defense artillery. She served in that position as a member of the Army Reserve until the Hawk missiles were phased out of service, shortly before Desert Storm. In addition to her husband, Carl Angel, Sharon is survived by her two children, of whom she was immensely proud: Cody Austin Angel and Abigail Riley Angel, both of Ozark, Missouri. A Graveside Service for Sharon will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Ridgelawn Cemetery with Pastor Ralph Workman officiating. Willis Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements.
