Shawn Allan Blanton

Shawn Allan Blanton, 35, of Gallipolis, passed away on February 28, 2011 at his residence. He was born November 18, 1975 in Springfield, Ohio, son of the late James Blanton and Katherine Givens Eisnaugle. Shawn was married to Stella Rutherford, who survives him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a half brother, Steven VanHoose. Surviving are his wife, Stella Blanton of Gallipolis; a son, Zach A. Blanton and two daughters, Destiny L. Blanton and Kaitlin N. Blanton, all of the home; five half brothers, Matt VanHoose and Terry VanHoose, both of Gallipolis, David VanHoose of New Carlisle, Ohio, Glen Blanton and Greg Blanton, both of Kentucky; a half sister Melissa Blanton of Kentucky; stepfather Sam Eisnaugle of Gallipolis; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Services will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the Willis Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
