Shirley Sigman Lorene P. Shirley Sigman, 58, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 24, 2007 at the Holzer Medical Center. Shirley was born on January 31, 1949 in Logan County, West Virginia the daughter of the Rev. Andrew and Lucille Belcher Parsons. She was a homemaker and a member of the Silver Memorial Freewill Baptist Church. Shirley loved her family and enjoyed her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing the piano and had played the piano in the Silver Memorial Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, John L. Sigman, Sr. whom she married on July 8, 1966 in Sparta, North Carolina; two sons, John L. Sigman, Jr. and Randy Sigman both of Gallipolis; five grandchildren, Whitley, Megan, Colton, Travis and Carly all of Gallipolis; her father Rev. Andrew Leah Parsons of Gallipolis, two sisters, Anna Sue Richard Marsh of Mann, West Virginia, and Peggy Barry Yeauger of Cheshire, Ohio, three brothers, James Bernie Parsons of Gallipolis, Rev. Jack Vickie Parsons of Clayton, North Carolina, and Rev. Dennis Connie Parsons of Gallipolis, a brother-in-law Larry K. Grimmette of Gallipolis and several nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her mother Lucille Parsons, one brother Vernon Parsons, and by two sisters Priscilla Parsons and Joyce C. Grimmette. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2007 at the Silver Memorial Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Parsons, Rev. Jack Parsons, and Rev. William Runyon officiating.
