Stephanie Dawn Taffie Cash, 31, of Melbourne, Florida, formerly of Gallia County, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 13, 2009 in Melbourne, Florida. She was born August 30, 1977 in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of James R. Cash and Jeannie Bright Cash, who survive her. Taffie was a vision rehabilitation instructor at the Center for the Visually Impaired in Melbourne, Florida. She was a 1995 River Valley High School graduate, where she participated in volleyball, track, softball, and band. In her youth she was in 4-H, girl scouts and Awana Club. She was a U.S. Army veteran. She also graduated from Ohio Dominican University and received a Masters Degree from the University of Central Florida. She was a member of the Young Professionals in Brevard County, was a board member of the Brevard County Commission on the Status of Women, and a member of the Vivace Society. Taffie was an artist who sketched and painted and was also a musician. Surviving are her parents, James R. Cash of Leon, WV and Jeannie Bright Cash of Columbus, Ohio; her paternal grandmother, Crystal Cash of Leon, WV; and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by grandparents, James L. Cash and Henry and Ernestine Bright. Services will be 1 pm Saturday April 25, 2009 at Willis Funeral Home, with Pastor Alvis Pollard officiating.
