Sue P. Patterson

Sue P. Patterson, 83, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Sue was born April 1, 1938 in Marion, Illinois. She was the eldest daughter of the late Anna M. and Dunning Aaron Phillips. She was a Graduate of Southern Illinois University. During her life she taught school, worked as a bookkeeper and worked as a secretary at AKZO Chemicals. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Gallipolis. Sue was married to the late Dr. Richard G. Patterson on December 22, 1957 in Carbondale, IL. She is survived by her three sons: Clinton (Vickie) Patterson of Syracuse, OH, Steven (Lorri) Patterson of Gallipolis, OH, and David Patterson of Monroe, NC; five grandchildren, Amanda, David, Ida, Mike and Eli; and eight great grandchildren, Vincent, Kyle, Josh, Jordan, Casey, Trey, Logan and Brody; one sister, Mary Stanley of Edwardsville, IL. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022. They will be conducted at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Ann Moody officiating. The Patterson family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.
