Susan "Susie" J. Siders

Susan “Susie” J. Siders, 59, of Gallipolis, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at her residence. She was born March 31, 1954 in Gallipolis, daughter of the late James S. and Eva Wright Walker. Susie attended Promised Land Church. She spent her free time in her vegetable garden, at a table playing board games with family, or in the kitchen preparing something sure to be scrumptious. She was also a giver in the biggest sense of the word, always ready to help. Surviving are her children, Tony L. Hurlow of Crown City, Tammy S. Woodyard of Walls, Mississippi, Crystal M. Masters of Crown City; 7 grandchildren, Kyle D., Levi T. Ally N. and Lillian J. Woodyard, Alexus M. Hurlow, Linda and Charles Stephens; 1 great grandchild, Layla A. Woodyard; 2 brothers, Carroll Jean Walker and David S. Walker, both of Gallipolis; 5 sisters, Amy (Leroy) Barrett of Gallipolis, Alice Redmond of Grove City, Joyce (Ossie) Flowers of London, Ohio, Rosemary (Truman) Johnson and Carolyn S. Burgess, both of Gallipolis; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James (Junior) Walker and George Walker. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Truman Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Street Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 6-8 p.m.
