Sylvia Jean Mccoy

Sylvia Jean McCoy, 52, of Gallipolis, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2007 at Holzer Medical Center. She was born on May 25, 1955 in Cow Creek, Logan County, West Virginia to the late Alvis H. and Margaret Levana Adkins Davis. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Roger Dale Davis and James Nevada Ray Davis and a sister, Mary Jane Davis. Surviving is her life companion, Elmer “Bo” Collins of Gallipolis; a daughter, Patricia L. Snider of Gallipolis; five grandchildren; a sister, Delilah Waters of Bidwell; two brothers, Alvis Davis of Missouri and Clarence Davis of Liberty, West Virginia; and two half brothers, Nevada Albert Davis and Jonathan Ray Davis, both of Logan West Virginia. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, July 19, 2007 at the First Church of the Nazarene, Gallipolis, Ohio with Pastor Kevin Plantz and Pastor Ruth Ann Fellure officiating.
